Quality Control Manager (Bayad Al Sard Co.)                                                    March 2012 – March 2014

 

MTC Project – Military Training Compound Phase ll / Baghdad, Iraq ($24 million project)

The project contained 7 multi-story buildings (new construction) including the water network, electrical network, sanitary network, sewer network, communication network, rods, parking areas, curbs and landscaping.

·   Performed the quality control system according to the QC plan, utilized the submittal register log, three phase inspections process for each DFW (definable feature of work), daily reports, check lists, meetings, RFI (request for information), RFP (request for proposal) and monthly invoices.

·   Responsible for the QCS (quality control system) database software which is collecting the entire project's information regarding the quality, safety, pay activities and government correspondence.

·   Performed detailed cost estimates and peer data reviews for both design-build and bid-build government contracting projects.

·   Wrote and edited technical proposal sections, including creation of Primavera schedules for more than 30 WBS and 1200 activities according to NAS (network analysis system).

·   Worked with and provided technical support with company Estimators and Project Managers.

·   Reviewed project specifications according to ASTM, CSI format 2004, ACI, IBC, IPC standards.

The project contained more than 20 buildings (renovation & new construction) including water network, sewer network, electrical generators, water well and rods.

·   Performed the quality control system according to the QC plan, utilized the submittal register log, three phase inspections process for each DFW (definable feature of work), daily reports, check lists, meetings, RFI (request for information), RFP (request for proposal) and monthly invoices.

·   Responsible for the QCS (quality control system) database software collecting the entire project's information regarding the quality, safety, pay activities and government correspondence.

·   Responsible for the updating schedule using Primavera 6.0 and monthly payments.

·   Conducting construction observation, field quality assurance testing, site grading & construction.

·   Dealing with Military clients and Government departments and maintaining excellent working relationships.

The project contained 18 k-span buildings (new construction) including water network, sewer network, sanitary network, water well, roads and landscaping.

·   Conducting construction observation, field quality assurance testing, site grading & construction.

·   Supervise the civil activities, earth work, concrete work, K-Span construction, electrical work and Sewer-water network.

·   Performed three phase inspection process for all the activities.

·   Follow up of the construction program and implementing QA/QC procedures.

·   Preparing site inspection requests and coordinating with the consultant through checklist.

·   Follow up of sub contractors activities and clarifying the technical matters.

·   Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.

·   The client was AFCEE (Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment).

Director General for Intelligence & Security (DGIS) / Baghdad, Iraq ($45 million project)

The project contained 6 k-span buildings multi story (new construction) including water network, sewer network, sanitary network, water well, roads and landscaping.

·   Supervision of the site activities including structural and architectural works.

·   Follow up of the construction program and implementing QA/QC procedures.

·   Assigning labors and preparing wages according to the cost codes.

·   Preparing site inspection requests and coordinating with the consultant through checklist.

·   The client was USACE (United State Army Corps of Engineers).

 

Alternative Quality Control Manager                                                                 May 2008 – January 2009

 

New Iraqi Army Regional Commando Battalion Project / Al Asad Air Base, Iraq ($18 million project)

The project contained 20 k-span buildings including water network, sewer network, electrical network, helicopter pads, roads and landscaping.

·   Supervising all aspects of quality control including: site work, power generation, electrical distribution, concrete placement, CMU block construction, water treatment, water distribution, waste water collection, helicopter pad construction, K-span erection and finishing.

·   This project was recently identified by US Government auditors as having the “best QC program in Iraq”.

·   Implemented a comprehensive 4 phase inspection process leading to significantly less re-work than other similar company projects.

·   The client was AFCEE (Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment).

CONSTRUCT FACILITIES TO SUPPORT HQ 1/7 (HQ, 1st BRIGADE, 7th DIVISION) Project / Ramadi Base, Iraq ($100 million project)

The project contained three Forward Operation Bases (FOB) and each FOB contained more than 15 buildings. The client was Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE).

·   Supervising all aspects of quality control, including: site work, power generation, electrical distribution, concrete placement, CMU block construction, water treatment, water distribution, waste water collection, and ROWPU Units.

·   Responsible for daily reports, tracking submittal register log, conducting weekly meetings, 3-phase inspections, and supporting the H&S program for the site.

 

WADI SAWA Company

 

Field Engineer                                                                                                      November 2006 – January 2007

 

Habbaniyah Base Project / Al Anbar, Iraq

The project contained a fuel station, one building, and a security fence. The client was Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE).

·   Monitor project documentation, including records, photographs and log books.

·   Maintain a relationship with Client representatives, and consult if there are any questions about the interpretation of plans and/or specifications.

·   Supervising civil activities including concrete pouring, CMU works, survey work and testing materials.
